Throughout art’s long history there have been many different mediums used by artists from charcoal cave drawings to oil paintings on canvas. Not to long ago came the advent of digital painting using software like Photoshop and Corel Painter. The latest in digital evolution is the mobile studio. Artist can now paint or draw on the go with some fantastic applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch like Brushes, Layers, Inspire or Colors - just to name a few. It’s like having an easel, paint and brushes right in your pocket.

I’ve rounded up 32 amazing digital paintings that were all painted on an iPhone or iPod Touch. These great artists are leading the way in mobile art with some fantastic creations. These are supercool! The detail can be remarkable- like the individual strands of hair and the dust motes on the bunny pic. Awesome collection. More, more, more!

Wow awesome talent used to create these artistic mobile paintings, i would have thought that the drawings was made on photoshop! the video of the mobile art painting is madness!! to get accuracy on the apple devices seems hard, great achievement in the overall art!

Amazing to think these were done a on a tiny screen, they look so detailed. Looks like you can get some decent art applications for those systems. Very cool artwork.
