Hello and welcome back to digital-artist-toolbox.com. It’s been a little while since my last post because I’ve been out of town, sorry about that. This time I have a set of large photoshop brushes of fireworks for you to add to your toolbox. These free brushes were made with photoshop CS2. I hope you enjoy them. I would really love to see what you use them for so please consider adding a pic of your work to the digital-artist-toolbox Flickr photo group and everyone can see it here on the photo stream. Let me know what you think in the comments.

Is it okay to use these commercially? I work at a newspaper, and I can really see these getting some use when the 4th of July comes around this year. I remember looking for something like this just before New Year’s Day for the same reason.

yes, you can use these comercialy. For details refer to the license and usage page. Thank you for asking.
If you use them it would be really cool if you put a pic of the work up in the Flickr photostream I have here.
You certainly don’t have to though.

Beautiful textures and brushes, however I keep getting the message “Decompression failed”, which I believe just means they couldn’t unzip. Any suggestions?

@ janice moss – Are you using winzip?

I cannoot open the file either; “error 1 – operation not permitted” – I am using Unzip on a Mac – and this is the first time I have gotten such an error … any help greatly appreciated – just what an artist needs to do is put on the IT hat! Good luck.

There’s a built-in zip utility IN mac os x. Double-click on archives to expand. Let me know if that works.
Also you can download the free version of Stuffit to unzip .zip files on a Mac http://my.smithmicro.com/win/stuffit/index.html

No luck in opening the .zip file (dl-ed it 3x!!!). If any one out there was able to extract the file, by all means, let us know which magic trick you used!!!!

I also would love to use them… was hoping D.A.T. creator/monitor would see one of our posts and actually check into the file. Must be the file is a problem itself. Awaiting response or “magic trick” as you mentioned GopTun!

I think I figured out the problem with the file. I’m working on it now but my comp has crashed so I’m trying to retrieve the file.
Thanks for letting me know. Sorry for the problem. I promise to have it resolved tonight.
I’ll leave a comment once it’s done.

I don’t understand. I zipped the file up and uploaded it but when i download it I get an error when trying to unzip it. I can unzip it before I upload it but not after.
Any suggestions?

Thanks D.A.T. for trying to solve the problem. Although I do not believe that the zipped file size plays a role, would you be willing to split your brushes and upload them in 2 files?

It just shows how badly we both wanted your brushes. You get an additional thumb up for caring and solving the problem. Thanks again.

Just wondering if there was anyway to use these with photoshop 7.0? I don’t have the means to upgrade right now and hate to miss out on these awesome brushes!
