As designers and artist we all love typography and probably have more fonts on our hard drives than blades of grass in our yards.  Still, we are always on the lookout for that next must have font.  Most of us have, at one time or another, wanted to create our own font.  With Fontstruct you can do just that!

Fontstruct is a free font-building tool from Fontshop that lets you quickly and easily create fonts constructed out of geometrical shapes.  Once your done creating, Fontstruct generates high quality True Type fonts ready to use in any Mac or Windows application. 

There is also a gallery where you can share your fonts or download other users creations.

I think this is a great solution for anyone who would like to make their own fonts without having to buy expensive font creation software.  Fontstruct seem quite easy to use and, best of all, it’s free.

Good textures are a must in any designers toolbox so I thought I’d give a few away today. There are 9 total including torn notebook paper, brown paper, watercolor paper and more. I took some of the pictures with a pink background so it would be easy to remove. I will regularly be posting textures here, (as well as other resources) so check back often. I hope you like these.
